Everyday Addictions

I'm hyped up on sugar and don't know where my phone is. Also I'm cold, tired and have the shakes. I have never been addicted to a drug but this might be how withdrawl feels. Call me a teenager stereotype but I am addicted to my cell phone.

Addiction is a condition in which people strongly feel they need or want to use something on a continuous basis, either to experience its effect or to avoid the discomfort of not using it.

I believe this song relates to life. Unfortunatly,sometimes, I find myself listening, nodding and responding but really...I don't give a rat's ass. I want to make it too my locker and get through my day. I want to do my work and go home. I Love you, but I don't want to to care about you. Call me selfish but i just want to be alone.

You may see that girl and think "what a whore". She has her reasons why she acts the way she does. But does it make it right? Does she deserve a second chance?

You could blame her anger problems on her dad..say she only grew up to be how she was raised..but it does not make it acceptable...does not make it right. You could say she is a slut because she learned it from her mother...but that does not make it acceptable and does not make it right. The pot she smokes, the alcohol she drinks, the fights she gets into...yes she grew up with these things but it does not mean they are hers. Does not means she has to follow that path. She was lead into just as any other could be. That poor little slut. She sleeps with boys because she doesn't know any other way...does not understand a hug, a gentle kiss or simply holding hands...it's not her fault. She is smart...she really is but she doesn't know that because you call her stupid. Sadly she believes you. It's not her fault she doesn't know any better.

Do not judge her by her blue eyeshadow or her bleach blond hair for it is you who led her to it. That poor little slut. Did you know her dad actually never touched her. Not hurtful to her one bit. Her mom did though. Her dad loves her very much. He just doesn't know how to hug, to comfort. So sad. That poor little slut.

Oh she makes me cry when I do not see her for months. She comes around every once in awhile. Tells me of her sorrows and how she wants to change. I want to hug her. I try. She pretends to be comforted. You know I have never even seen her cry. She seems to come to me so I can do the crying for her. So she gets what she wants from me. Someone to listen, a place to stay the night. Then she is off again. The poor little slut.

How did this even get From A to B?

This is something I wrote a while back and at the time thought was sort of deep. Now I think it's silly, because it only sounded important to me, because I had imagined it in a English accent. Everything sounds better when spoken with an accent or good speaking voice for that matter). Seriously, doesn't matter where it's from or regardless of how it sounds. An accent automatically makes what is being said unfamiliar or cultured. (eg. I would pay Morgan freeman to read me the phone book.)

Maybe this is a juvenile way of thinking. Because it's similar to liking a song only because the singer has a good voice. This doesn't make the song bad, it just makes your appreciation for the almost depth less. I say almost because though the lyrics of a song may not be terribly clever, the overall feeling you get from the song may be very strong. To exception of some artists, this is what the majority of main stream music is about.

I typed mainstream into google image and I got a lot of hits about how mainstream music sucks. It doesn't suck. it's safe and marketable. It's for pleasant radio listening not always heart warming or self changing moments. I think it's funny that sometimes people listen to old music and do this because it's not mainstream. But the stupid thing is that the reason why those artists are still popular is because they were at one point mainstream.

I'm not really sure what I am going on about. I just believe music should be about liking it. Who cares if it's mainstream or straight edge. If it makes you feel something then it's probably worth listening too. For the most part people we hear on the radio are there because they have talent or are marketable. So suck it up and deal with it. If you don't like Justin Bieber than put in a Metallica CD to drain out that pre-teen voice sensation...

I may or may not go back to this rant but i think it's good for today.
