Writer's Confrence

there where many speakers through out the day but Teresa Toten was my favourite. She came across as down to earth. She showed great enthusiam towards everything people had to say.

She did a fun exercise in which she gave a single sentence and from there we were to write what ever we felt worked with it for a only a minute. No writing before that minute was up and no erasing or revising during.

Too write in the minute was liberating. I didn't write anything fantastic but she was right about your brain getting in the way. Your brain is there to edit and revise which is good but it stops us from writing what we really feel. Writing out of pure gut feeling allows you to go deep inside yourself and write honestly.

This is a great exercise for writer's block and I am sure to use it in the future.
